Playhouse 2000 and the City of Kerrville joined forces in 2000 and began the restoration of the old Municipal Auditorium. The project included a major face-lift of the 1960's facility. Construction on the site began in December of 2001 and a Grand Opening was held in late March of 2003. The facility is home to Kerrville Performing Arts Society, Symphony of the Hills and Playhouse 2000.
